Coen Brother's Tribute to Kraftwerk

Circa 1978. It was before I was even a glimmer in my father's eyes. It was before Daft Punk, Styx, The Flaming Lips, and all the other robot themed music. Kraftwerk released "The Man-Machine", track 1: The Robots. Oh yeah. Sounds kinda cheesy by today's standards, but this was 1978, I didn't even exist! This was electronic music, and it was still damn good.

I guess Joel and Ethen Coen like Kraftwerk enough to have featured a parody/tribute in The Big Lewboski. A Fictional German pop group called Autobahn. They're said to have released one album, called Nagelbett ("Bed of Nails"), in the late 1970s. The cover of this LP clearly parodies the cover of the Kraftwerk album The Man-Machine. According to Maude Lebowski "Their music is a sort of an, ugg...technopop".
